Our Valentine's Day sensory bin is still in rotation (I usually pull it out for her to play with while I am finishing up my morning chores before we get started on circle time and our tot school).
She absolutely loves these heart porcupines from Oriental Trading.
Also enjoys these heart shaped containers that she is constantly opening, closing, and filling with jacks from her bin.
We started the week with things that go on the ground (cars, trucks, and trains) and finished up the week with things that go in the sky (planes and helicopters).
BIBLE TRUTH/VERSE:
I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, because God can!
"I can do everything through Him who gives me strength" ~Philippians 4:13
We used the books The Little Engine that Could and Melvin Might as teaching tools for this book.
This was the first time that we did a lacing activity. I found this crane at Michaels, and she had fun "sewing" like mommy.
This was also our first week of tracing, and while the first few times I introduced these cards she just drew all over them, the last couple times she started following the line. Here you can see her adding some birds to the card as well :o) These tracing cards are part of the Transportation Preschool Pack from Homeschool Creations. Lots of great printables in this pack!!!
"M" loves to color and so we colored picture of Curious George (her favorite) with a car, train, plane, and boat.
And she loves to paint!
So we painted cars (these are from Michaels)...

We painted trains...
(Got this idea from Toddler Theme-a-Saurus. You need a cardboard egg carton cut in half length-wise and toilet paper roll. Choo Choo!)
And we painted helicopters.
(This one is a creatology kit from Michaels)
And of course Daddy had to ride on his helicopter :o)
