Signing is a big part of out "Tot School." Each week we work on a few more signs (lately ABCs and colors). We absolutely LOVE the Siging Time DVDs with Rachel Coleman (http://www.signingtime.com/), and also use Monta Briant's "Sing, Sign, and Play". This week we made "I Love You" sign Valentines out of cut-outs of "M"'s hand to send to our family.
We also made hearts out of playdough - fun fun!
Love her tongue sticking out when she's concentrating - just like daddy!
The receipe we use for play dough is:
2+ cups flour
1/2 cup salt
1 cup hot tap water
Mix flour and salt together. Slowly mix in hot water while stirring. Switch to kneeding when stirring gets difficult. Add more flour as necessary (up to 1/2 cup) until the stickiness dissappears.
We let the playdough sit out for a day to start drying, and then finished up the process by placing on a cookie sheet in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for one hour.
We often use q-tips while painting because they are easier for little hands to hold.
But usually she eventually gives up on the q-tips and paints with her hands because it's just more fun that way!
Character Trait of the Week: LOVING

We love Signing Time too! It's great for helping build their vocabularies. I never heard of "Sign Sing & Play" though- I'll have to check that one out.
I love the ILY Valentines too and how you incorporated the verse from John. I want to be working on more memory verses with my son. Thanks for the inspiration!
